ORLANDO, Fla. – NBC Sports Next has celebrated its 1,000th installation of G1.
This milestone for the golf industry’s best-selling, golf course business-management platform transpired at the Currie Municipal Golf Complex in the Great Lakes Bay Region of Midland, Mich., which is an Indigo Golf Partners-managed managed facility within the Troon family of brands.
The occasion also marked a second milestone – the activation of G1 at 100 golf courses in the Troon portfolio.
“This milestone represents our commitment not only to innovation but also to helping our partners continually strive to make golf a better experience for everyone,” said Jerramy Hainline, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Golf, NBC Sports Next. “G1 provides the integrated technology that can help any golf course become more efficient across all aspects of their operation and better focused on their customers during the many critical touchpoints they experience throughout a round of golf.”
“At Troon and throughout our family of brands, the golf experience is paramount,” said Bruce Glasco, Chief Operating Officer, Troon. “The technology behind G1provides our course managers with nimble, cloud-based tools that enable and empower them to place more focus on our guests. We congratulate NBC Sports Next on this great milestone.”
The complete G1 technology platform was first introduced in early 2018 and finished the year with more than 200 golf course operators choosing to use the cloud-based platform to help them run their businesses more efficiently. Subsequently, G1 has been the industry’s most-installed golf course-management system for the past four years and NBC Sports Next’s best-selling and most-advanced business management technology.
G1combines all software and operating systems utilized by a golf course facility into one platform. Tee sheet, point-of-sale, social media, employee schedules, inventory, payroll, vendor relations, and more can be controlled from an internet-connected desktop, smartphone or tablet – from anywhere.
In addition to Troon and Indigo Golf Partners, G1 is endorsed by some of the industry’s top management companies and golf courses, including Paradigm Golf Group, Niagara Parks Commission, Lindsey Golf, City of Atlanta Golf, Fairfax (Va.) County Park Authority, and Tampa Bay Sports Authority.
One of G1’s main benefits for golf course operators, especially for those who previously used locally installed software, is they no longer need to manage updates manually or worry about server issues. The cloud-based G1 technology installs regular updates, new features and other improvements automatically, with no time or action required from golf course staff.
What golf course operations utilizing G1 are saying:
“For the past 20 years, we have tried various other POS systems and G1 is by far the best. Its ability to manage and monitor the daily operation in an effective and innovative way is what separates it from all the rest. In addition, G1 continues to launch new technology like SmartPlay, which enhances guest experience and profitability.” – Joe Dahlstrom, CEO, Paradigm Golf Group
“G1 has helped us become a much more flexible operation, from day-to-day management to interacting with our customers, whether they are at our facilities or elsewhere. Because G1 is built to adapt to our needs, it helps us maximize how we support our golfers across all three facilities.” – Mark Lynch, PGA, Vice President of Golf, First Tee of Greater Richmond
“City of Atlanta Golf’s goal is to provide an exceptional golf experience that is flexible, innovative and highly efficient for our valued customers. We’re excited about establishing our partnership with GolfNow.” – Jeff King, General Manager of City of Atlanta Golf Services
