March is Celebrating Women in Golf Month, and we’re shining a spotlight on the women making an impact in the sport. Throughout this series, we’ll share inspiring stories of our course partners and advocates who are shaping the future of golf. From breaking barriers to creating inclusive opportunities, these women are driving change and encouraging more women to embrace the game in their own way.
Meet Kyle Demeter – Head Golf Professional at Warren & Burke Golf Courses
For Kyle Lynne Demeter, golf isn’t just a profession—it’s a lifelong passion woven into the fabric of her upbringing. Growing up in North Central West Virginia, she was surrounded by the sport, with family members who lived and breathed the game. From spending time at her dad and uncle’s driving range to playing rounds with loved ones, golf was always a natural part of her world. Now, as the Head Golf Professional at Warren & Burke Golf Courses, she’s turned that passion into a career, leading by example and creating opportunities for more women to embrace the game.
A Dream Realized Through Leadership
Kyle’s journey into leadership was fueled by a simple yet powerful belief: when you do what you love, going to work every day feels like a privilege. Her career has been shaped by mentors, family members, and colleagues who encouraged her to pursue her passion. She never imagined that her path would lead her to a place like Warren Golf Course, but the relationships she built along the way helped open doors she never thought possible.
“I couldn’t have imagined the opportunity I have now. It feels like a dream come true, and I owe so much of it to the incredible people who guided me along the way,” Kyle shares.
Creating Space for Women in Golf
While golf has historically been a male-dominated industry, Kyle sees the landscape shifting, with more women stepping into leadership roles and making an impact. At Warren & Burke, she’s actively working to foster a welcoming environment for women through initiatives like the Sip and Swings Golf Clinic, a summer program designed to make the sport more accessible and social.
“The goal is to break down any intimidation barriers,” Kyle explains. “We want to create a relaxed space where women of all skill levels can develop their game, connect with others, and just have fun.”
Beyond programming, representation matters. Kyle and her assistant pro, Katie Sharp, make up half of the leadership team at the course—an inspiring presence that encourages more women to see themselves in the sport, not just as players, but as professionals shaping its future.
Advice for Women Looking to Lead in Golf
For women aspiring to build a career in golf, Kyle’s advice is clear: embrace your unique perspective and know that your voice matters. The industry is evolving, and now more than ever, there’s space for new ideas, diverse leadership, and fresh energy.
“If you’re passionate about something, go for it—don’t hold back,” she encourages. “Seek out mentors, build a strong network, and advocate for yourself. You belong in this space, and your contributions will make a lasting impact.”
With trailblazers like Kyle leading the way, the future of women in golf looks brighter than ever—one swing at a time.
